welcome to the homocrime singles club
2cd-r | february 2005
this contained exhibits a to j.
the 'australasian edition' (9 copies) had a very labour-intensive gatefold card sleeve & was sold at (& as a benefit for) queeruption sydney.
because i got really bored of making those, all the rest of the copies (70-ish) came in a stickered envelope. not even stamped. lazy!
martin büsser reviewed it in testcard #15: the medium is the mess:
Homocrime Compilation (DoCD)
Lesbo Pig und Humousexual vertreten sind, Amateurs Do It For Love, bringt
Den Auftakter bilden The Battys,
Luxembourg.
intim. Texte wie "Horny Tattooed Cycle Courier Boy" (Firmturds) oder "View From Gay Head"
(The 123s) behandeln Queerness ganz direkt, pfeifen darauf, irgendetwas zu verschlusseln. Dadurch
bekommt Cat Stevens' "Sing Out", gecovert von Ghost Mice, mit Zeilen wie
"If you wanna be free, be free,/ if you wanna live high, live high/ if you wanna live low, live low" eine ganz neue
Bedeutung.
dient.
