"i suggested that i would begin to try to make something with people that i think are doing interesting things
and who are supporting other people and showing ways to build political, creative and dynamic situations
... i started by asking people to draw and record on audio tape something about their situation
and we have animated and edited this material together. not as a unified depiction of a social group,
scene or culture that is easily accountable, but as an act of communication and transmission
